Make sure that when you want to turn the lens on your camera, the dot on the lens and the body are aligned.

Set your camera to the manual (M) setting. The aperture will be indicated with the F- number. Remember: the lower the F-stop, the smaller your depth of field (more light). Likewise, the higher the F-stop, the larger your depth of field (less light).
